CONDITIONING TRAINING

Andrew, a San Jose native, has had a passion for athletics and sports performance since he first started training as a football and baseball athlete in high school. After suffering a major shoulder injury, his focus shifted from training to improve his sports performance, to rehabilitating his shoulder to get back on the field. Going through the rehabilitation process offered him a unique appreciation for the role that sports performance training plays in the prevention of injuries. Following a college baseball career that was cut very short by his shoulder injury, Andrew, once again, changed his focus. He went from training to improve his own sports performance, to training others to maximize their athletic potential.

Andrew is currently a graduate student at San Jose State University where he is completing his thesis for a Masters degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology: Exercise Science and Fitness, with a Minor in Athletic Coaching from San Francisco State University. While at SFSU, Andrew was a Strength and Conditioning intern working with the Basketball, Soccer and Volleyball teams. After graduating, he moved back to San Jose to attend San Jose State University and continued training athletes. He has worked with a wide variety of athletes, ranging from eight years of age to professionals in many different sports.

Currently, Andrew is the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Santa Clara University’s Baseball Team. In addition to training many Bay Area athletes from various different sports and levels of competition, he also often conducts sports performance tests at many local showcases, combines and camps.

Andrew’s knowledge and experience can push a professional athlete to the absolute limits of elite athletic performance. High school athletes can benefit from his expertise and acquire the necessary skills to excel. Even young children can improve and gain confidence as they learn proper running mechanics and improve their agility. Andrew can enable a wide variety of athletes of different ages and specific needs to reach their goals.
